Weekly Update 3/12/23

Been a busy weekend for me, hence this blog being late. I know I said I was gonna keep this blog short because I was gonna record a Game N Chill....but then I got sidetracked. The good news is I did actually record the Game N Chill this time. And I think I can talk about things here different from the Game N Chill video but I'd also like to keep it short because I'm a bit shorter on time. :/ We'll see I guess.

Streams and videos...

It's been a bit rough to get used to commentating again after being out for so long, but between recording Game N Chill and last night's stream, I'm slowly getting the hang of it. VOD is still up on Youtube if you want to check out the stream, though it's a bit rough and I am considering editing it down to an actual playthrough video once I'm all done editing the Dawn of Djinn ones. Since that'll be awhile, feel free to enjoy the VOD instead.

Also messed around with shorts a bit so I'll have something to upload April 1st, even if I don't get around to doing my OG ideas. I hate how April 1st keeps sneaking up on me like this.

Golden Sun

I did say I would share some footage of work I've done, but it's been a busy weekend so I'm gonna take a rain-check on that offer. Kind of drawing a blank of exactly what I did last week anyways. I'm pretty sure I mentioned the stuff with Kolima and I'm not sure if I got around to anything new since...oh wait, last week was rambling about Paper Mario, I guess I'm thinking about something I mentioned in Discord.

So yeah, I've made quite a few text changes in Kolima to better reflect Dawn of Djinn changes. Also made some adjustments to the first Djinn fight of the game. I did say I was gonna make a video showing that off, but it's real late so I'm gonna take a rain-check on that. Maybe next week if things are less busy.

For now, here's a teaser and hopefully I'll have more time to actually give a full tour of the town in a future blog.

Mis

So this week has basically just been a week of stream watching and Pokemon cards. It's actually kind of funny that TRG Colosseum just ended and then the immediate following weekend another streamer I watch was doing their own charity stream. And it was also the weekend of a big Pokemon Go tournament, that I sadly didn't get to see in action because of everything else. Hopefully the VODs of that are at least available because that would be the perfect thing to have in the background as I'm working this week... I'll have to see if I can dig that up anywhere but at least there should be a ton of other things for me to catch up on with all the streams I ended up watching this week instead.

Also Pokemon cards, lots of Pokemon cards. I've been having a bit meh of a week so I've been treating myself to Pokemon cards a bit more than usual. Like yesterday opening two packs instead of one and the day before opening up a pack as well. Did get some REALLY cool stuff from the packs I've opened but I just want to post the blog, so I'm not gonna get any pictures for now. But trust me, I was real surprised by the one pack. Also looked into and got an app for my phone to help me keep track of the cards I've been collecting. So I guess I'm no longer casually into this hobby now and it's basically back as hard as when I was a kid.

It does not feel like I've bought a lot of cards and yet, the binder I just bought to keep my new Pokemon cards in is almost already filled... I swear I haven't even finishing opening the cards from my Pokemon Go box yet. I knew the binder was too small, but it looked way cooler than all the big binders I found. Welp, that's a problem for future JackitK when the binder actually is completely full I suppose. At least I definitely got my money's worth out of that box, despite it being a huge box.
