I know there hasn't been a lot of time between the last blog and this one, but I am trying to ween myself back into doing these every Saturday. In fact, I started writing this yesterday morning but the past couple days have been so bad I completely forgot I started this. Work just has been real rough this week. Besides despite the lapse in time, some pretty significant events worth noting did happen. So let's get into it.
Streams and videos...
One of the biggest accomplishments from in-between blogs is that I finally finished Golden Sun Dawn of Djinn on stream. Between making version 1 and streaming it, it felt like it was going on forever. But all good things must come to an end I suppose. Besides probably still got at least a couple months before I finish uploaded the edited videos of it at least and Second Mix will be a thing eventually. I've just had all my modding focus on Paper Mario for now.
As for what I'll be doing in future streams for the rest of the month and a bit in February it's up in the air. I'm giving myself a break from the usual streaming schedule for a few weeks. If I feel like streaming Saturday then I'll pick out something to stream, but if I want to chill or focus on Sweet Expedition that week I'll just do that instead. And there will not be any mid-week streams. Not even gonna try with that for now.
I do already know what I'm going to do for my next main stream series, but it's going to be... an ordeal... so I think it's important to take a break in between RPG series before jumping right into the next one. I've teased it heavily, but I'll officially reveal what I plan to do in weeks to come, assuming I haven't already jumped into it.
I did also finally got to record more Pokémon XG. Still had a quite a few videos worth of gameplay to edit still, but it's been so long since I played the mod that I really wanted to get back into it again. Just been so caught up with Sweet Expedition and the new Pokémon game in particular that I couldn't make time for it.
Oh yeah, Youtube schedule, here's the current schedule plan for February.

Paper Mario project
I think I'm finally ready to talk more about what's been going on behind the scenes with modding lately, or I would say that but work has been a strain mentally and on my wrist so I'll just paste what I've posted on Discord and elaborate next weekend.
It started as just me messing around with the new partners, then into a gameplay demo separate from the story, to now it's own little (non-cannon if we want to get technical) side adventure. On the surface it's just the fights from the Dojo, but with Rush, Chai, and some new moves for Mario. But I've added lots of details to add replayability and help make it feel like it's own experience . You'll have to wait till I'm closer to completing it for more details on that. For now though, I want to give you a very small taste I have in store for this side-mode/demo. It's no trailer like I initially wanted to do, but I might sprinkle a couple more clips here and there depending on how long it takes for me to finish this...
That being said, a bit of surprise came in during the week in the form of the Everdrive device I ordered. So now I can play mods on original hardware and more importantly, playtest my project to see if they'll work on original hardware for you all. More so with Paper Mario because Paper Mario mods tend to be more hit or miss when it comes to working on original hardware. In fact, it just come in yesterday and I already found a console exclusive crash. At least I think it's console exclusive, but I'm gonna mess around with some things to see if I can get rid of it just in case.
Sweet Expedition as a whole borrows a lot of code from Dark Star, which isn't technically console supported. So while I got a feeling Sweet Expedition won't be console supported, but I'm gonna at least try to get this upcoming project/demo working on console.
Also haven't had tested Bow's Halloween Spook yet, but once I get around to it, I'll be sure to shout it out if I realize it does work on console all this time.
Mis
So again, I got an Everdrive for both N64 and Gameboy so I could playtest both Golden Sun and Paper Mario projects. Since it just came in yesterday most of my time has just been messing around with it and getting used to it.
I decided to get Golden Sun Reloaded onto it, both GS1 and GS2 versions. I was doing a personal playthrough of both of those games, so I even got my save files from those working on it. So I'm thinking I'm going to take advantage of that to have something fun for my breaks or to coax me back into treadmill walking.
TBH I really lost interest this week as I've been feeling really terrible after work the past couple days (because it sucks this week) so I had zero motivation to coax myself onto it, even with bribes like video games, videos, or streams. I could go on, but I should rest my wrists. Work has been a strain because the workload increased beyond one person and yet I'm the only person doing it so I think I've been straining myself trying to keep up with it. Especially because I'm so used to being ahead with it. Plus there's office drama that I rather not get into cause by this workload. Maybe next weekend.
Did want to show art so maybe I'll just throw some photos real quick and not worry about explaining them...
