Weekly Blog 5/7/23

May is upon us. Bringing with it another pretty standard month of uploads, with things going on behind the scene to prepare for June. That being said, with it being a new month, I uploaded a new Game N Chill episode yesterday, so you can get a refresher through watching that.

Videos/Streams

I've been struggling to get back into the swing of streaming with a combination of the limited timeframe that I'm available to stream and not having energy or motivation when that timeframe is available.

At this point, I've decided to stop trying to plan streams in advance and just go live when/if I'm feeling up to it. We'll see if that actually pans out in there being any streams or I just keep ending up using that time for other projects instead.

Though that does remind me, as you can see from the fact I uploaded it, I actually did record a Game N Chill episode like I was aiming to and even found some time to record another episode of Pokemon XG. Looking forward to editing and sharing that one because I found the shenanigans that happened especially funny. I don't dare spoil it by saying any more than that. So yeah, at least last week's stream time didn't go in vain. Can't use that as an excuse this week.

This week I was feeling up to it, but family events were close enough to the timeframe that I didn't want to push it. Plus, I felt more up to chilling this weekend anyways. That being said, I didn't completely sit around doing nothing as I just finished editing one of the last GS Dawn of Djinn videos yesterday. I'll talk more about that once I finish editing all the videos in a couple weeks as I'll have a clearer idea regarding handling those final episodes once I know for sure how many episodes those final two battles will be spliced into.

Golden Sun Dawn of Djinn

Did continue to work more on that this week. Though my progress isn't quite as impressive as lately I've been working through a new save file to assure things are still balanced despite changing party character base stats. Made a couple interesting changes here and there, like completely reworking Tret's boss fight or changing the item that was the "Eleven Sword" in the original game yet again. But I'll save details for another time.

Mis

Though not as many as I would of liked, I did knock out a few errands this weekend and at least attempted to take care of the majority of them. Really sucks that I have a doctor who's office is literally only opened the exact hours I work the day job. I wouldn't mind taking a sick day for an appointment but taking time off just to make a phone call to schedule that appointment is overkill. I'm sure I'll figure out something eventually though.

To be frank, I completely forgot about the Raid Day event happening in Pokémon Go yesterday. I just happened to be out for a walk as the event Pokémon appeared in gyms. Oddly enough I got real into it. I think I did like 12 raids and could have kept going, but at that point I kept getting the "Your friend has hit their daily raid limit" to everyone I invited and while thankfully it was weak enough to handle by myself, I lost the motivation to keep going once I ran out of people to do them with.

Really wanted to get that shiny Klevor, but alas no luck. I guess I'll just have to make it a stream goal next time I stream Pokemon Legends. Maybe that'll even be enough to convince me to stream Pokemon Legends.

Also got my first Rare Ultra Pokemon card. It was just an Egg Incubator from the Pokemon Go set; but full art and probably the most sparkly card I've ever seen in my life. So if only for the novelty of being super extra shiny, it was nice. Plus now my goal of getting every card from that Pokemon Go set just became more possible, considering I used the rarity of those cards as an excuse. We'll see how I feel once I finish going through the rest of the Pokémon Go packs I already bought before deciding if I should just save myself the hassle, bite the bullet, and just by the remaining cards I don't have individually.

So that's all that's been up with me this week. Take care, and take a moment to complement the work of someone you enjoy today. Even if it's like what I did this morning and scroll through all the Twitter art you've liked and leave the artist a nice reply.
