Had the week off, so on top of taking time to relax from work, I believe I made a lot of progress on the various projects, even if it wasn't focused the way I thought it would.
Paper Mario/Golden Sun
Sadly, nothing new to talk about relating to Dawn of Djinn. I don't think I've even got around to opening up the tools to work on it yet.
A lot of the focus that would go to that has gone to making videos showcasing Sweet Expedition, and now working on Sweet Expedition now that those videos are done. Messed around a bit with textures and adding/cleaning up some new puzzles. Nothing I want to share yet, but I am happy with the progress. I only really worked on it one day and the other days was focused on videos tying to it. But the day I did it, I spent a long time on it so that works for me.
Videos
Plenty of video recording, editing, and more. If there was anything constructive, I got done this week, it was making videos.
Speaking of the Sweet Expedition videos I mentioned earlier, those will be going up very soon. It's going to be a muti-parter playthrough of the entire mod in it's current beta state. First part is going to go up on Tuesday and the goal is to upload a new part every other Tuesday. I'm a little iffy about doing this because of spoilers, but I didn't want to just release a patch now, when I'm just going to release a patch later when it's complete so the playthrough was a bit of a compromise with myself.
The other two big things I accomplished this week was Game N Chill and recording Pokemon XG. Game N Chill is going to go up next week and much to my surprise, there is actually live commentary while playing Pokemon Legends. TBH with how much I've played that game this week, I thought I was going to be sick of it, but the recording session ended up going really good.
And then there was Pokemon XG. I was going to take a "small break" from the plot to try out Mt. Battle, record my first impression and then just go back to it whenever I want to just play the mod off-screen... well...it's a good thing I decided to record it because that certainly was an experience, especially for something I initially did for filler. Don't want to give too much away, but I think it's safe to say, that they definitely made sure that Mt. Battle was much more challenging from the beginning. Certainly, was a different experience than in the original Pokémon XD.
Mis
As for stuff I played on my own time, I spent way more time than I should in Pokémon Legends Arecus so that I could finally say that I "completed" the game. The wisp was probably the most painful part taking several hours before caving in and using a guide for another couple hours of hunting. But hey, it's done, I got all the Pokemon, so from here it's just a matter of filling their Pokedex entries, maybe getting a shiny of one of the game's exclusive Pokemon and then anything else I do in the game will be a bonus. More importantly I can go back to enjoying the game again. :P
I did play Pokemon Go in my walks and revisit my steam backlogs to try and beat Nefarious, but TBH I'm surprised I haven't spent more time taking advantage of this time covering a wider variety of my backlog. I guess Legends ate all the time between the dumb completion push and all the stream/video recordings I did.
