So...as I've said on Twitter, I've decided to finally use the end slate feature YouTube has for the first time in months and I didn't account for enough space while making my graphics. So I either leave it as is which will result in the video having a sloppy end slate when it goes live, or rerender and reupload it which results in basically redoing all the YouTube prep I had for it....
Meanwhile my next Pokémon Go PvP video is already set and ready to go for Friday... so I got thinking instead of possibly causing myself stress rushing to get the first episode of Celeste ready again by Wednesday, I thought it would be better if I swap the LP and Pokémon Go release dates just for this week.
I should be able to resume the normal Monday/Wed/Friday schedule I have next week since that gives me plenty of time to rerender everything, and considering I have at least 4 Celeste videos all edited (just needing to be rerender thanks to YouTube) I should have a large enough backlog to last me a month, which I'm hoping buys me enough time to get into the grove of having a video ready every week and at worst will last me a month.
While I'm posting it's also worth noting that all the extra projects I had plan to start this week...such as streaming and doing stuff with Mario Maker is on hold for at least another week, though likely more. I'd rather make sure I'm organized with releasing my "core content" before adding anything new to my 3 uploads a week schedule. As a reminder, most weeks that will be Podcast/Game N' Chill on Mondays, my Celeste LP on Wednesdays, and Pokémon Go content on Fridays.
Though the release of podcasts may be a bit more unpredictable. I go over it in tomorrow's upload but basically, I'm now shooting for one podcast at the start of every month as well as a community day retrospective following the release of the event in Pokémon Go. I don't want to make any promises on how soon after, but since this relies a lot on when Pokémon Go decides to do their community day each month I expect it to be all over the place. As always, I encourage you to check the YouTube calendar since I'll be sure to update it as soon as I can confirm the release day that works best for me each month. I do still want to do editorals...
For example I can confirm I just recoded a part of my editorial of shadow Pokémon in the Gamecube games VS Pokémon Go today, so I don't want that to go to waste, I just haven't figured out where to put it yet. Maybe I'll take a month off from covering current events to do that, maybe I'll replace a night of Game 'N Chill with it. In an ideal world, I'd have such a large backlog of Pokemon Go editorials that I can upload one every Monday and have a separate day of the week for Game 'N Chill, but I don't think I'm ready for that yet. Again, YouTube calendar is your best friend to know what the heck I'm up to. Though I've been improving actually blogging here as well and I hope to keep up on that.
