I'd take this moment to make some comments about if Krookodile is good in Pokémon Go actually... ….but the creators of the game like to divide the release of Pokémon in waves and despite the fact we've had gen 5 in Pokémon Go for awhile, Krookodile is one of those gen. 5 Pokémon we don't have in the game yet.Looking at what I have to assume people know about it through data mines, I can at least speculate based on it's stats and move pool. As of right now it's set to get a nice move pool for PvP at release, movepool being even more vital than stats in determining how useful a Pokémon will be in Go.
Those moves being Snarl & Mud Slap for quick moves and the following charge moves; Earthquake, Crunch, Outrage. Snarl being a great quick move for energy gain for the powerful Earthquake, especially since it's buff. Plus I could see Crunch being a great option for baiting shields (basically every PvP match you get two protects that you can use against any charge attack but their shared between your whole team), and with how many dragon types (*Cough* Giratina) run free in Ultra and Master League even Outrage has potential to being a good option. So I wouldn't be surprise if Krookodile ended up having the same impact in Ultra league that the release of Stunkfish had to Great League. Borderline meta changing, but at least enough to make you reconsider what Pokémon you bring. Heck, with it's high CP maybe it'll even have an impact in Master League.
As for raiding, it's not gonna overthrow any of the kings for raid counters. Krookodile doesn't have a bad movepool for being either a dark or ground type attacker, but there's just already such powerful competition in both those types. Groudon, Garchomp, and even Excadrill are just so powerful as ground type attackers as is. And while Mud Slap isn't a terrible quick move, the Mud Shot that Pokémon like Groudon carry is superior. As a dark type, not only are there powerful dark types like Darkrai, Weavile, and Hydreigon; dark types also have to compete against ghost types Giratina Orgin form, Gengar, and Chandelur since they're both super effective against the same types of Pokémon. Maybe it'll out class Trytarintar with Snarl being so much better for energy gain than Bite, but we'll have to wait for it's release to tell for sure.
You know what though? Doing the little bit of research I did to try and ground my speculation in some sort of reality, I actually got myself hyped for the release of Krookodile. Ultra and Master League need a shake up, and the game is releasing a new cup for next season's Go Battle League called "Premier Cup" which is Master League but without Legendary/Mythicals. With everything I listed out, Prermier Cup sounds perfect for Krookodile. Granted they have changed Pokémon moves before released and the meta is constantly evolving as they add new moves to Pokémon and buff/nerf the way currently existing moves work, but I got a good feeling about this Pokémon.
