Didn't really feel like I made too much progress this week despite the extra time off. Most of the time I was feeling able to work on anything was mostly spent mass editing videos. So not too much too eventful, which on the bright side should mean this blog will be short and sweet...
Golden Sun
Did some more work on new classes. Rebalanced a few of the main ones, but more importantly, started working on the dual classes. The more I work on it the more I realize I'll be able to use Reloaded as reference at best. There's just so much different from my base classes from Reloaded that if I copied the dual classes completely, things would feel unbalanced. So that means it'll take longer before I share anything but should also mean that the dual classes should be a bit more interesting. Also pondering if I got too much going on in the base classes but at this point, I need to finish the dual classes before I can tell what needs to be changed for sure.
Paper Mario
A sadly unproductive week for Sweet Expedition, despite my promises to at least have a video of the new moves set. I did mess with it a bit, but it was more testing waters to see what I can and can't do with how limiting Star Rod is on my PC rather than actually making/adjusting new things for the project. Even then though it wasn't much and I'm not sure how much is because I got burnt out and how much is just how much I've been enjoying working on Dawn of Djinn in comparison lately. So I don't know when the next time I'll anything have significant to share with Sweet Expedition will be.
Most drastic thing I have to say at the currently is that instead of releasing a patch that fixes bugs and readds the things I had to cut last minute for the Game Jam, I think I'm going to wait until I'm all done with (mostly) everything and release a patch then. Since I still want to preserve my initial idea of what I wanted Sweet Expedition was to be before my last-minute cuts, I think I'll eventually make a video playthrough through it once it's in this in between state instead. Mostly just for me, but I'll eventually upload it as well for those curious.
Just doesn't make sense to release two different versions of the mod that are very similar to each other as I realize there's going to be less and less differences between the phase 1 and phase 2 patch.
No projected goal on when any of that will happen, as I think I'm going to be a bit more lax on modding as a whole the next few weeks as I have more things dividing up my spare time.
Videos
So I started the recording of my next playthrough last weekend as a treat, which TBH was a huge mistake because I'm in love with the game now and I want to get back to playing it as soon as possible... but I can't because I still got to finish editing and uploading all the other projects I've started. So I've been mass editing Paper Mario Randomizer a lot this week as it's the closest video series to being finish. So many in fact that I think next month I'll be uploading that twice a week instead of Dawn of Djinn videos. The hope was I could completely finish it by October and start the new playthrough but I think there's too many videos left to achieve that.

So Splatoon 3 came out this weekend and since I fell in love with it ever since the Splatfest premier, I decided to get it at launch after all. So I've been playing it quite a bit tonight as I write this on it's Friday release date. And I got to say it's been fun.
I haven't even got a chance to touch the mutiplayer yet because I've actually been invested in the single player campaign, which really surprised me TBH. Describing it in as few spoilers as possible, so far it's a hybrid between Spatoon's single player campaign and the DLC campaign. Which was a pleasant surprise since when they announced there would be a DLC campaign I thought that meant they were going to save the good version of single player for the DLC again while the base single player would once again be a glorified tutorial.
Story also been pretty solid so far. Not only do you got a hybird of lore styles from Splatoon's base game and DLC story, they've already thrown a few twists and turns that I did not see coming. Expectations where honestly pretty low so it's nice to actually be enjoying it so far. I think I'm going to actually give the mutiplayer a try before going to bed so I'm signing out here. But I got a feeling this won't be the last time you see me talk about Splatoon 3 in these blogs.
So sorry if it feels like taking time to have fun is getting in the way of my other projects. I work full time so I'll take my enjoyment where ever I get it and don't worry, I still plan to put at least a little bit of time into some of my other projects despite that.
