A little late on the blog, but I've kind of been all over the place this weekend. TBH it's a little hard to remember exactly what I got done this week but I'm gonna talk about it anyways.
Paper Mario/Golden Sun
Probably my biggest accomplishment this week is finishing the recording for the alpha/beta Sweet Expedition video I wanted to do. I still got a bit to go as I have not done any voice over for it yet, but I think I at least have a game plan now. I think I'm going to divide the base recording into three or so videos and upload one every month (maybe more frequently if I find myself making fast progress on the mod) and then release the full uncommentated playthrough as an unlisted video. More details to come as the exact release plan will depend on how so I actually finish editing the videos. Either way, with the recording done I can resume work on whatever parts I feel up to working on with Sweet Expedition, so even if I don't feel like commentating the video, I believe progress will resume with it shortly.
Besides that, I've noticed my Golden Sun projects continue to get a lot of love ever since I uploaded them onto ROM Hacking dot net. The Dawn of Djinn release trailer especially has been blowing up with activity since then. In fact, I think the Dawn of Djinn trailer and the video showcasing the Jenna mod I've recently released have been some of my best performing videos in a VERY long time. Thank you so much for all the love. If you've enjoyed what I've done so far, I'm willing to bet you'll love some of the things I have planned for the future. In fact, if you check out my Github right now, you might find a new project or two that you'll also have a blast with.
As far as working on new stuff this week though, I've been a bit off this weekend, too much to actually work on anything besides videos and streaming. But with the extra time off from my day job I have this week, I hope to take some of the rest and time to refresh myself to really make some progress on WIP projects.
Videos
Kind of just been more of a streaming week. I took advantage of the fact I only really felt up to playing the older Pokémon games this weekend to do a couple casual Youtube streams. Sorry to those looking forward to the Dawn of Djinn recording this weekend. Took time earlier that day to record a bonus episode for that series so I felt less bad just doing more casual streams this weekend instead.
VODs for both those streams are still on Youtube and I don't have plans to edit either of them down into videos. I did enjoy doing those streams, but I don't feel enough really happens to justify the effort of editing them into videos, especially when they're already on Youtube by default. VODs are there for your enjoyment if you wish though.
I plan on doing a stream of that this week to make up for missing that so keep your eyes to Twitch for that. Thursday evening is looking to be the best time for me, but that could change so you might be better off following me on Twitch and getting notifications if you want to be on top of that.
Mis
In case you missed the news, Twitter is burning, if you did, don't worry. Twitter is burning and that's all you need to know. :P All that matters in relation to me is while I don't plan on leaving the bird site quite yet, I have been taking advantage of the fact I have more spare time this week to mess around a bit with other sites, just in case I "have to".
While technically I never stopped using Tumblr completely, I've actually been on the site daily and I'm working on something I've been meaning to do for ages. Separate my posts into different blogs so people can more easily follow me for what they're actually interested in. So far I have the "main blog" and a side blog for videos and Overseer of the Elements each (tempted to make the later a more general art blog, but I really do want to start working towards a platform just to gush about that OC), as much as I want to also make an art blog, 3 blogs has been a lot to manage already so I think I'll stick to posting any art I do on the main account, it's infrequent enough that it shouldn't be an issue.
There's also this app called "Hive" that I've been hearing a ton about today in particular. There's something slightly sus about hive minding to a site called "Hive" but my friends are joining it so I figured I at least claim my username now. Just in case Twitter explodes tomorrow for whatever reason. Not formally announcing it yet because there's already so many different platforms for me to manage as is, but the little bit I've seen so far does look pretty cool so it might be fun to play around a bit more with it once I get caught up on other things. Wish it wasn't mobile exclusive as it would make sharing videos/art between platforms easier, but maybe I'll discover something next time I get a chance to play around with it.
Worst case scenario, this site always serves as a central hub for me and my activity as I'll update it as I complete new projects and it'll always have links to the social accounts you can reach me regardless of how they may change.
