Hey everyone, in case you couldn't tell from the lack of blog last weekend. I've been VERY busy. Long story short, majority of my spare time has been divided between Sweet Expedition and playing the newer Pokémon games. I got them a bit late compared to everyone else so I have a lot to catch up on but it's also a type of game that I can't just rush from beginning to end. The amount of time I sunk into Sweet Expedition alone was so great that I had a four day weekend and still forgot to put time aside to do some of the more basic errands that I typically have no problem doing.
It should be worth it though considering this project will be completely separate from Sweet Expedition but will give you full access to play around with mechanics exclusive to the mod. I was hoping at least share a trailer or something by now but TBH I've been so focused on working on the mod, I haven't even had time to do that.
Videos and Streams
- Scheduled some more videos and came up with a plan of how to handle February's uploads. With my fixation on trying to finish this Sweet Expedition related project I haven't had much time to edit so I wanted to give myself a break for a week or two. Backlog was full enough to keep the schedule going all of January, but I think in February I'm going to take a couple week break from normal uploads. Already have one week exclusively of Shorts and some behind of the scene clips from old modding projects that I think will make interesting filler content and I might do something similar for the following week as well. When I'm more caught up with the schedule, I'll share more. In the meantime I could share the schedule for the rest of the month. I know it's almost over, but better late than never I guess....
As you can see, we'll be starting off February taking a break from the main plot in XG to try out Mt. Battle. I don't want the intermission to drag on too long so you'll be getting 2 videos a week for two weeks so I can clear those videos as soon as possible. They didn't take as much editing as the main XG videos so it's not as much of a strain as it seems.
Still all over the place about how I feel about streaming. I did end up streaming Dawn of Djinn last Saturday, though just barely so I didn't feel up to finishing the game in that stream. But at least that only leaves us with one last battle in all of Dawn of Djinn so next stream will be the finale for sure.
After that though, I don't know. Like I mention a few times I have a solid idea what the next long-term stream series is going to be, but the more I think about it, the more I think I need to have a game to act as a pallet cleanser from RPGs in-between. I've been playing a ton of RPGs between Paper Mario, Golden Sun, and Pokémon the past few months. Minus Splatoon I can't even remember the last time I've played an RPG, do I even know how to play other video games? Ideally it'd be a super short game that I can do in a stream, or a few videos. Maybe even if I just play it on my own time that'll be enough, but we'll see.
Other things of note include....
Wow... I remember when this was gonna be a short blog so I could focus the day on everything else. But I guess it's been awhile so even though I skipped a lot of the details with modding this week I still had plenty to ramble about. Crossing my fingers that this weekend I put the time aside to go into more depth on the Paper Mario plans I've been teasing for so long.
